An extraordinary result that reaffirms the key role of the company and the technologies developed by the UFI Advanced Applications division, to guarantee performance, reliability and safety in motorsport.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Customized solutions<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In Formula 1, UFI doesn&#8217;t just provide the teams with oil, engine air and petrol filters: each single-seater uses up to fifteen UFI Filters Motorsport Extreme Filtration filter elements, for a total annual production of about 6,000 innovative components, custom-designed in terms of size and materials used (including medical-grade aluminum, carbon fiber and titanium), to meet the specific needs of the racing teams. These components are often modified during the same season following use on the track, to achieve increasingly optimal performance for the individual car. UFI systems for single-seaters are fundamental for the correct functioning of the fuel, lubrication, hydraulic and hybrid systems, helping to optimize performance on the track.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Which are the filters on a single-seater?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The filters of Formula 1 combustion engines are found in the air intake, in the fuel circuit and in the oil circuit. These high-tech filters retain dust, shavings and contaminants from special petrols, also protecting the recovery pumps with secondary filter elements and \u2018last chance\u2019 filters.<\/p>\n<p>The hydraulic circuit filters are crucial for the drivers&#8217; safety, as they are used in the power steering systems, in the activation of the rear mobile wing (DRS) and in the braking circuits.<\/p>\n<p>The hybrid system of single-seaters also includes a battery that must be kept at an optimal temperature. UFI Filters supplies devices for filtering the dielectric fluids used to cool this battery.<\/p>\n<p>UFI&#8217;s success in Formula 1 is the result of continuous investment in research and development.
